Two men, both seriously ill, were in the same hospital room.One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs.The other man had to spend all his time lying on his back. Every day they talked about differen things. One day they did not knowwhat to talk about.They desided that the man who was allowed to sit he would describe everything he could see outside the window.The man on the other side of the room would close his eyes and imagine the picturesque scene. After week when nurse arrived to bring water for their baths she found the man by the window dead. She called the hospital attendants to take the body away. After another man asked if he could meve tohis place. When he looked through the window he saw the bland wall.The man asked the nurse how his roomate described things trough the window. The nurse responded that the man was blind and could not even see the wall and through it. She said, "Perhaps he just wanted to encourage you.” This story is really make me cry.I praise this kind of person.
Thank you very much Hamida. I have seen a film about this article. However, to read it again is also enjoyable for me. I think one of the most important thing in the world is to imagine. It means that people see what they want. In my opinion if that person who was blind, could see, he would describe the same thing because he wants to see it.
Actually I did not understand what does "the bland wall" mean. That's why it made some difficulties . However, this article was interesting, and I also appreciate that kind of person
